Daniel is a double-digit kid!!!!!

Today Daniel turned 10!
He has been celebrating since Friday and loving every minute of it!

We started our celebration on Friday by meeting James Grandparents and parents at Turkey Run State Park in Indiana. We went on a hike and enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL fall weather and smells.

God's creative design is awe inspiring!

We meet back at the Inn for lunch and some presents.

I am proud to say that Daniel quickly put together all the cool little ships, with a little help from Grandpa.
Align LeftToday we got up and drove to Memphis where we meet with all of my family to celebrate.
Laura made a super fun Soccer Cake and we had a family cook-out.

It is wonderful for all of us to be together to celebrate these special times together.
God is good!

Even Aunt Rachel was able to come celebrate with us.

Daniel was happy to eat the ball all by himself!!!
He didn't really eat it all but is looking forward to finishing it off tomorrow.

We love you Daniel and are praying for you as you grow physically and spiritually.

Supporting the Taylors for 100+ years!

September 11th we had the opportunity to report with James' parents at Prairie Baptist Church in Noblesville, Indiana. This church supported Bud & Evie Taylor from the beginning of their ministry in the 1950's. They took on Phil & Mary Ruth when they headed to Brazil in the 70's. We were blessed to be added to their church family in 2006. What a blessing to partner with a church for over 100 years of ministry!

We were blessed to be there for their Missionary Christmas. One Sunday a year and take up a Christmas offering to divide between all of the missionaries they support around the world. It was so fun to sing Christmas carols and enjoy the Christmas lights and decorations.

It was fun to catch up with old friends as well as meet new ones!

Last days in Iowa

We finished our time in Iowa with many special memories.
We were so thankful to the Johnstons for opening up their home to us for our final days.
Not only were James and I encouraged and edified by our time together, our children formed some special bonds with their children. Luree and I use some the same homeschooling material and it was so fun to have everyone doing school at the same time.

Sunday we were able to visit Adelphi Calvary Baptist Church in Runnels.

It was great to catch up with some dear friends who have kept in such close contact while we were in Brazil.

We thoroughly enjoyed sitting under the preaching of Pastor Vanderhart during the morning service. Sunday evening James was able to meet with the teens and challenge them regarding missions as well as presenting our ministry to the church.

Monday morning we said our good-byes and headed for Danville, IL.
We'll give you more on that later !!

Visiting Portage Indiana

Last Sunday we were able to visit Portage Avenue Baptist Church. It was so much fun to participate in their "Round-Up Sunday." (It is their back-to-school/Back-to-Olympians kick-off.) Everyone was encouraged to dress as cowboys and we had a chili cook-off along with lots of good fellowship.

"Mr. Pastor" as Daniel named him was a wonderful host.
On Monday, after taking us out for breakfast at his favorite place, Mc Donald's:)
He took us to see the shores of Lake Michigan and Mt. Baldy, a large sand dune.
It is hard to believe when you see it that it is not an ocean.
Hearing the sound of the waves was just beautiful.
It made us feel like we were back at home in Brazil.

It was great to get reacquainted with all our PABC friends.
Thanks for your generous love for our family!

Changes in Brazil

Now that we are in our own building, we have our own sign!!

Redemption Baptist Church
-Exalting God in All Things
-Transforming the People of God
-Proclaiming God in Christ
Service Times:
10:00 a.m. Prayer
7:00 p.m. Service
7:30 p.m. Bible Study

Moving into a new building and having the sign has been influential in bringing a steady stream of people to visit our church. We are so thankful for each one as they have opportunity to hear the true Gospel. Please keep praying that Redemption Baptist Church would be a light proclaiming Christ in Brazil.
