Saturday was Daniel's 8th birthday.
He seems so grown up, tall, intelligent, loving, good-looking...Yes, I am the MOTHER!
He wanted to go to the sand dunes for his birthday. God gave us a beautiful sunny day.

This year Daniel has...
Started playing the piano and has just finished his first book.
He has become an excellent reader.
Has realized that he loves math and numbers.
Loves Physical education the most at school, followed by
1. English (as a second language, which is his first and therefore he gets to help the teacher
pronounce the words for the kids.)
2. Cooking
3. Math
4. History
5. ...I can't remember the rest!
He has really developed into a good big brother. Taking care of his siblings and treating them well, MOST of the time!
We are very proud of the young man that Daniel is becoming and pray that he continues to grown in his knowledge and love for the Lord.

Happy Birthday Daniel!!! I can't believe you are 8 years old already. It seems like just yesterday I was flying to Houston from Iowa so I could see and hold you. After you and your mommy and daddy picked me up from the airport we went to Papasito's for lunch. And do you remember that last year we were all there to help you celebrate your birthday. Wish we could have all been together this year too.
I'll try to call sometime today and hopefully I'll get to say Happy Birthday in person. We love you and are so proud of the young man you are becoming as well.
Love,
Aunt Hula, Uncle Mark, Andrew, Josiah, & Abigail =)
Feliz Anniversário,Daniel!! Grandpa
& Gran are so proud of you & can´t believe how grown up you look. We are so glad you had a sunny day for
your birthday to sled on the sand-
dunes...that was cool...or should I
say warm. We can´t wait to see you
in person soon to give you a big birthday hug...tell Hannah & Jer that we can´t wait to see them too.
Um abraço, Granpa & Gran
I'm so glad that my "number 1" boy still has his freckles. Watch out Daniel, when I come I get to kiss them.

Dear Daniel,
I hope you had a fantastic birthday! Looks like you had a lot of fun at the sand dunes! We will definitely have to do that when I come down for Christmas. You will have to show me how to ride down in style. =) Well, I am so glad you like math and numbers. Keep on having such a cheerful spirit, a loving heart towards Hannah and Jeremiah, and a helpful hand at home and school. I am proud of you and pray you continue having a love for God and a love for reading, especially the Bible.
Love ya,
Aunt Rachel
