This weekend was the final two performances of our Christmas Cantata. The Choir and Orchestra were made up of people from 4 area churches.
It was such a privileged for me to be able to participate. Saturday night the cantata was at Calvary, right next door to our house. We invited several of our neighbors and were excited that two families came.
Afterward there was coffee and cookies so we had a great time of fellowship. We had several opportunities to talk about the Lord after the concert and are praying for God to continue to work in hearts.

Sunday night, we had the cantata at our church. We had prayed and worked as a church to have 100 people, including the choir and orchestra.
God answered above and beyond and we had 110 people. I think 31 were in the Choir and orchestra. That means our church had 79.
It was kind of a "family affair," in that Phil and I sang, Mary Ruth played the cello and James gave the challenge at the end.

Christen- It's so great to check in here with you and see what God's doing in your lives and in the lives of the people you're ministering to. AWESOME that you had such a big crowd for your conata and that James could share such a great message with them.
God has given me some great opportunities just this last week to share the salvation plan with friends of mine. Nothing has come of it yet, but that God would allow me the opportunity is awesome enough. I know he'll water the seeds I was allowed to plant. What a great encouragement it was. I can't blog about it because some of those very people read it and I don't want to hurt any opportunity I can have to share.
Josh and I were very entertained by the last picture. James with serious face/bowed head, and Daniel with the HILARIOUS face -- grinning hugely as usual. :) Haha!
so great to hear the good news! You guys are such excellent evangelists -- what a team the Lord is using!
We got your Christmas letter. The picture is up on the tree (I put our picture cards on the tree as we get them this year). It's on the side facing where I sit in the morning so I can see you all and pray for you. Love you, sister!
